Is a BNTU diploma recognized abroad?
In general, recognition of the document abroad requires apostillation and nostrification procedures.
- Apostillation: This is the process of verifying the authenticity of a foreign document (diploma) by placing a special form of stamp, called an apostille, on the document. This confirms the authenticity of the signature, the official position of the person who signed the document, and the authenticity of the seal or stamp attached to the document. Apostilling a Belarusian diploma confirms its authenticity but does not automatically grant the right to work in other countries without nostrification.
- Nostrification: This is the process of recognizing educational documents from foreign states, meaning the agreement of the relevant government authorities to the legal force of these documents within the country. Additionally, there are countries with which Belarus has agreements on the mutual recognition of diplomas, eliminating the need for nostrification, requiring only an apostille.

Are there scholarships, and what are they?
All first-year students on state-funded places receive a minimum scholarship before the first session. The amount is determined by the formula: Minimum Subsistence Level for the working-age population multiplied by a coefficient of 0.3. For BNTU students, the amount is increased by 1.15 times.

Individuals seeking a second or subsequent higher education can be admitted without entrance exams to the second or subsequent courses if there is a slight discrepancy in the content of the previously obtained specialty and the requirements for the second specialty as determined by BNTU. Admission is subject to the availability of vacant places for study, based on the decision of the BNTU admissions committee.

How does job placement work after graduating from BNTU?
Typically, after completing the first stage of higher education, graduates are assigned to an organization for a two-year work placement. The main criterion is the match between the specialty (specialization) and the assigned qualification with the job position. Placement applies to graduates who studied full-time on state-funded positions or those who studied at least half of their course on a state-funded basis. Exceptions include part-time students who are already working in their field of study and those who studied under targeted training programs (usually requiring a five-year work placement).
The placement process is managed by specialized commissions within the faculties and usually takes place about two months before graduation. The process considers the requests submitted by organizations for trained personnel and the contracts concluded with these organizations.
