From April 21 to April 23, 2021, one of the largest international exhibitions of the Russian Federation in the field of high technologies, innovations and investment projects in the scientific and technical sphere ‘HI-TECH – 2021" was held, in which the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus took an active part. Eleven high education institutes of our country presented 81 scientific and technical developments from such fields of science as additive technologies, innovative materials, machine vision technologies, industrial information technologies and etc at the exhibition together with the Scientific and Technological Park of BNTU "Polytechnic".
Among other things, the business program of the exhibition had also included a competition "The best innovative Project and the best scientific and technical development of the Year», participation in which contributes not only to achieve practical results in the promotion of innovative developments, but it also allows to maintain the prestige of the organization as a stable business partner, who is able to solve perspective problems in the scientific, industrial and entrepreneurial spheres.
Leading Russian experts in the field of science and technology, including experts in the field of investment and market development, were invited to participate in the examination of the projects submitted for the competition.
In 2021, 43 organizations submitted 98 projects in the field of mechanical engineering, metallurgy, metalworking, instrumentation, robotics, nanotechnology, information and educational technologies, ecology, biotechnology and medicine in 38 categories.

40 innovative projects, of which 11 were presented by the Belarusian National Technical University, were registered by Scientists of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
According to the results of the competition, Belarusian universities received 13 gold and 11 silver medals.
That way, Belarusian state university received 4 gold and 3 silver awards.
The Belarusian-Russian University was awarded the Grand Prix in the category of "Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Metalworking" for the development of "Technology of contact relief welding with automatic control and correction of heat input power in the joint zone".

The Belarusian National Technical University received the largest amount of medals from universities of the country: 4 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 2 diplomas, from which 2 gold medals and one silver medal were awarded to the branch of BNTU “Scientific research polytechnic institute”. In addition to that, a special prize in the category «The best innovative project in the field of "New materials and technologies, chemical products"» was also given to BNTU for developing “Innovative thermal diffusion layers on resource parts of mechanical engineering”.

In conclusion, we’d like to note that BNTU, as a part of the collective stand of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus began participating in the HI-TECH exhibition in 2002. During this period, the university has gained four special prizes, 49 gold awards, 38 silver and 24 diplomas.
