An internship at BNTU - new opportunities in your career!

Стажировка в БНТУ – новые возможности в твоей карьере

I am Tanishk John Matthew studying at CHRIST University in Bangalore, India. I am here to tell about my internship experience at Belarusian National Technical University in 2020.

I will start with my impressions of Belarus.

Belarus is a Wonderland! Three months here were amazing. Thanks to the hospitable Belarusians, I felt like at home. Historical buildings, wide streets, the beautiful winter river Svisloch, snow-covered parks, as in a fairy-tale land - all this is still in my memory. I would also like to say some words about the Belarusian cuisine - it is incredibly tasty, I discovered many unusual combinations and tastes. My favorite dishes are your soups and fragrant black bread, which I really miss!

I would like to express my gratitude to all employees of International Cooperation Department of BNTU. Thanks to them, I did not have any problems and difficulties in an unfamiliar country. I was greeted warmly and helped with any questions during the entire internship. They made a very convenient study schedule for me.

I held an internship at the Mechanical engineering Faculty, Department of Metal-cutting machines and tools, under the guidance of the head of the department Stanislav Dovnar. Special thanks to this great person and talented teacher! Thanks to his care and amazing energy, I was able to complete my project.

Our joint scientific article has been accepted for publication in the journal "Science and Technology". Stanislav Stanislavovich motivated me by his example! I also wanted to say thanks to all those BNTU teachers and students who helped me with my project! The project that I worked on during my internship at the BNTU was recognized as the best at my faculty in the CHRIST University. This is a very significant achievement in my professional life.

In Minsk, I lived in the BNTU dormitory - beautiful modern building with all the conveniences for students. There were supermarkets, restaurants and public transport nearby. I made friends with my dorm mates, after class at the university we had a great time!

I would love to visit Belarus again if I get an opportunity and walk in snow!

I would like to thank the CHRIST University, Belarusian National Technical University, my parents and friends for their support and giving me this exceptional opportunity!
