Recently, the graduation theses were defended at BNTU. For the students who came to Belarus from different parts of the world, this day was the culmination of many years of work and a very important event. The defense of a thesis is an exciting moment for any student, but it presents special challenges for foreigners. In addition to a deep knowledge of the subject, it is necessary to demonstrate impeccable command of the Russian language and the ability to confidently present oneself to the state commission.
Our student from the Republic of Uzbekistan, Makhmudov Muhammad Ali Otabek ugli, chose a diploma topic related to labor organization and payment systems, and shared his impressions of the defense:
– I chose this particular topic for my diploma because I believe it is the most practical and relevant. I did not encounter any particular difficulties. The most important thing is to have a good knowledge of the material and to confidently answer the questions of the committee. I can say that my defense went smoothly!
During his studies, Muhammad participated in annual events such as Navruz and the Festival of National Cultures, as well as the CIS Championship in Gorodoshchny Sport for Amateur Athletes, the opening of the International Youth Forum of the CIS and EAEU countries, and the Republican Festival of Creativity of Foreign Students Fest-ART.b, successfully combining all of these activities with his studies.
Maria Skipor, a student from the Russian Federation, defended her thesis on «Threats to the Economic Security of an Industrial Enterprise from Personnel (Based on the Example of Kaliningradnefteprodukt LLC)». The girl admitted that the diploma was not just the result of her studies, but also an opportunity to put into words what she had been interested in for a long time.
– Of course, I was worried, but the defense itself went surprisingly smoothly and quickly, according to the regulations, without any hiccups. The Commission asked questions about the proposed measures, the expected economic effect, the possible risks, and how security is actually ensured at the enterprise. It was clear that the conversation was not just formal, but genuinely engaged.

During her studies, Maria regularly provided practical assistance in organizing preventive, sports, and cultural events at ICF. She served as the Chair of the Russian Federation's National Society, was a member of the Student Council and actively participated in various events, including «InterStart at BNTU – 2025», the International Youth Forum «Friendship Without Borders», «Navruz», and the All-Russian Student Olympiad.
Mirzaev Davron Izatilla ugli, a student from the Republic of Uzbekistan, also shared his impressions of the defense:
– The defense itself lasted almost an hour. I can say that there is nothing to be afraid of in the presence of the commission: they are understanding people who listen to you attentively and then ask questions, skillfully pointing out the shortcomings and advantages of your thesis. I received useful advice, and it was interesting to discuss the topic I chose with professionals. Honestly, I would have told even more during the defense if the time limit had allowed.

Davron has extensive experience in participating in various events and has won numerous awards, including a special diploma from the jury of the VIII Belarusian Culture Festival at BNTU, «Belarus is Us»; a victory in the «Mr. Photo» category at the VI Open Competition of National Cultures, Creativity, and Beauty, «GRACE INTERNATIONAL»; and a first-degree diploma in the «Music of the Belarusian Land - the Music of Our Hearts» category at the Republican Festival of Foreign Students' Creativity, Fest-ART.by.
In addition, Davron participated in the fourth season of the TV show «Factor.BY» on the Belarus 1 channel, in the filming of the talk show «Yes! But...» on the STV channel, and also worked as a host on the travel show «White Roses» on the ONT channel, demonstrating his talent, activity, and resourcefulness.
We wish our graduates that the knowledge gained within the walls of BNTU would become a solid foundation for a brilliant career, and that their years of study would forever remain in their hearts as a time of friendship, discoveries, and victories. May your path be bright, and may every new day bring you joy!
