Safe Summer. BNTU Hosted a Dialogue with University Employees

Безопасное лето. В БНТУ прошла диалоговая площадка с работниками университета

Today, June 3, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted a dialogue on "Crime and Offense Prevention among Employees. Road Safety in Summer." At the event, university employees were reminded of key aspects of personal and public safety in the upcoming summer season.

Igor Shchesnovich, Head of the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Public Security Police of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee, spoke at the event. In his speech, he discussed in detail the rules of conduct on the roads that apply to all categories of road users.

Particular emphasis was placed on the safety of the youngest road users. Ahead of the summer holidays, the speaker urged university employees with children to pay special attention to preventing child road traffic injuries. Mandatory measures included a reminder to wear reflective elements on clothing, which significantly increases pedestrian visibility at night.

A separate section of the discussion focused on the growing popularity of personal mobility devices. Igor Sergeyevich explained the rules for using electric scooters and bicycles, warning about typical violations and the risks associated with uncontrolled, high-speed driving in urban and rural areas.

In addition to road safety, the participants in the dialogue platform discussed current fraud schemes. The speaker cited specific examples of extortion attempts against the public through phone calls and online communications, once again reminding BNTU employees of the need to remain vigilant and not share personal information with third parties.

The meeting was conducted in a businesslike and constructive manner. Such preventive measures at BNTU promote a responsible attitude toward the law and personal safety.
