First-year FITR students visited the Museum of Contemporary Belarusian Statehood

Первокурсники ФИТР посетили Музей современной белорусской государственности

On April 27, 2026, students of academic group 10701125 majoring in Software Engineering visited the Museum of Modern Belarusian Statehood — one of the most modern and technologically advanced museums in the country, located in the building of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus. The museum is part of the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus and plays an important role as an information, educational, and presentation center reflecting the key stages in the formation of the independent Belarusian state.

The tour began in a hall dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage of Belarus. The students became familiar with models of architectural landmarks built or reconstructed during the years of independence, as well as with the symbols of Belarusian cities presented in the form of coats of arms. This allowed the participants to gain a deeper understanding of the richness of the national cultural heritage and the continuity of historical traditions.

The main part of the exhibition covers the period of the modern history of the Republic of Belarus from 1990 to the present day. The museum halls present materials demonstrating the country’s achievements in various fields: socio-economic, scientific and technological, cultural, and sports. Particular attention is paid to the formation of statehood, the development of government institutions, as well as the international position of the Republic of Belarus. The exhibition helps students form a comprehensive understanding of the development path of an independent state and its role in the modern world.

During the tour, the students showed great interest in the presented materials, asked questions, discussed what they saw, and shared their impressions. The visit to the museum was not only informative but also significant in terms of patriotic education. Familiarity with the history of independent Belarus, its achievements, and national values contributes to the development of a respectful attitude toward their country, its past and present, as well as an awareness of personal responsibility for its future.

We express our sincere gratitude to the Primary Trade Union Organization of BNTU students for organizing the tour, which provided students with the opportunity to engage with the history of modern Belarusian statehood and expand their knowledge beyond the classroom.
