The department of Technological equipment took an active part in the 40th international scientific and technical conference as part of the Metalworking-2026 exhibition.

Кафедра «Технологическое оборудование» приняла участие в 40-й МНТК в рамках выставки «Металлообработка-2026»

The Department of Technological Equipment of the BNTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering not only attended but also actively participated in the scientific discussion. Representatives of the department traditionally made a significant contribution to the conference program. Most of the faculty, along with the department's undergraduate and graduate students, prepared and submitted abstracts to the conference organizing committee. These abstracts were published in the official collection of abstracts for the 40th International Scientific and Technical Conference, which was released as part of the Metalworking-2026 International Exhibition.

The work of the department's team of authors was particularly commendable. The joint paper by S. S. Dovnar, PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor, Professor O. K. Yatskevich, Assistant Professor A. D. Lapuka, and graduate students V. E. Shah and P. V. Mbede, on "A Bionic Approach to UHPC Reinforcement of a Hybrid Vertical Lathe," was highly praised by the expert jury and awarded a Third-Degree Diploma.

The conference's scientific agenda covered a wide range of topical issues in modern mechanical engineering: from additive manufacturing and machine tool design to hardening coatings and automation of production processes. Keynote speakers whose presentations generated considerable interest from the audience included:

  • D. S. Rogachev and A. V. Peskova (RN Additive Technology Center LLC) with an analysis of selective laser melting technology (Second-Degree Diploma);
  • A. N. Barbuk (BELORGSTANKINPROM Institute OJSC) with a report on the prospects for the development of machine tool manufacturing through 2030;
  • A. S. Dalechin and A. N. Feofanov (STANKIN Moscow State Technical University) with the development of a module for automated selection of modular machine tool configurations;
  • I. A. Goravskiy and A. N. Zhigalov (BarSU / Institute of Metallurgical Mechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus), awarded a First-Degree Diploma for their study of resonant amplitudes in the machining of high-speed steels;
  • V. A. Degtyarev and A. V. Isaev (MSTU "STANKIN") with an algorithm for constructing parametric models of end mills (First-Degree Diploma).

Off-site training at the "Metalloobrabotka-2026" exhibition.

In addition to research, the "Technological Equipment" department actively uses the exhibition venue for practical training of students. On April 9, off-site training sessions were organized as part of the study of the specialty disciplines. Students had a unique opportunity to become familiar with the latest models of metal-cutting machine tools, tools, and automation equipment presented by leading global and domestic manufacturers.

Accompanied by department faculty, the following student groups visited the exhibition:

  • Groups 10305223 and 10301123 – with assistant V. S. Danilovich
  • Groups 10301124, 10301224, 10301324, 10301424 – led by Senior Lecturer E. A. Markova
  • Group 10305124 – led by Assistant A. D. Lapuka

For future mechanical engineers, such events are an important element of the educational process, allowing them to visually connect the theoretical knowledge acquired in BNTU classrooms with real-world technological processes and modern equipment. The department expresses its gratitude to the organizers of the exhibition and conference for the high level of organization and the opportunity for professional growth provided to students.
