Today, April 14, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted an official meeting with a delegation from Nanjing University, representatives of the Jiangsu Province Department of Education (People's Republic of China), SINOMACHBEL LLC and representatives of Belarusian universities.
The event was organized in order to discuss the prospects for cooperation in the field of education and science, to exchange experience, and to strengthen bilateral ties between educational institutions and organizations of the two countries.
Yuri Nikolaychik, Vice-Rector for Educational Work at BNTU, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of developing international contacts and expressing hope for long-term and fruitful cooperation. Yuri Alexandrovich also introduced the participants of the meeting.
On the Belarusian side, the meeting was attended by Andrey Pochebyt, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Loban, Head of the Department of International Relations at BSUIR, Elena Bakunova, Head of the Department of Marketing and Scientific Communications at BSUIR, and Vladimir Galynsky, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations at BSU.
The Chinese side was represented by Vice-rector of Nanjing University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Zhou Zhihua, second-level inspector of the Department of Education of Jiangsu Province Cui Chunxia, Deputy Head of the Department of Education of Jiangsu Province Mao Xiaoxiang, Deputy Director of the Institute of Outstanding Engineers of Nanjing University Qu Xiaolei, Deputy Director of the Institute of Graduate Studies of Nanjing University Zhou Wei, Deputy Director of the Institute of Computer Science of Nanjing University Lu Tong, lecturer at the Faculty of Russian at the Institute of Foreign Languages of Nanjing University, Ding Liang, employee of the Department for International Cooperation of Nanjing University, Deng Yunyi, Head of the Department for Attracting and Servicing Investors at SINOMACHBEL LLC, Ding Jibo, as well as commercial manager and translator at SINOMACHBEL LLC, Alexander Shimanovich.
During the dialogue, university representatives spoke about the key areas of their scientific activities and achievements in the field of education. Special attention was paid to promising areas for joint research, as well as the possibilities for implementing joint educational programs.
— Cooperation between Belarus and China has the highest diplomatic status. Relations in the field of education are of the highest quality, as we currently have many projects in this area. These include various joint commissions that have a corresponding plan for implementing specific projects every year. You know that the Association of Rectors between Belarus and China is functioning successfully, as well as other platforms that allow for active interaction between the two countries, — said Yuri Nikolaychik.
As a result of the meeting, plans for joint work were outlined for the near future. The parties expressed confidence that the next two days of productive work during the visit would help achieve the set goals and take scientific projects to a new level of implementation.
