The anniversary conference on mechanical engineering and metalworking was held in Minsk

Юбилейная конференция по машиностроению и металлообработке прошла в Минске

Today, April 9, the 40th International Scientific and Technical Conference "Promising Directions for the Development of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Technologies" was held in Minsk as part of the international specialized exhibition "Metalworking - 2026". The conference was organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at BNTU. The conference was attended by 15 speakers from Belarus, Russia, and Uzbekistan.

Valery Sheleg, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology at the Minsk State University of Technology and Management, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

"This is the 40th annual international scientific and technical conference, and it has become a valuable event. Participants come with their own research and address the current challenges in the fields of mechanical engineering and metalworking," said Valery Sheleg.

As part of the conference program, leading specialists and research teams presented their reports. The attendees covered a wide range of topics, from additive technologies to the design of adaptive machine systems. Representatives of BNTU also presented their research findings in the fields of high-tech mechanical engineering and materials science.

Stanislav Dovnar, Associate Professor of the Department of Technological Equipment at the MSTU, Olga Yatskevich, Professor of the Department of Technological Equipment at the MSTU, and Anastasia Lapuka, Assistant Professor of the Department of Technological Equipment at the MSTU, have proposed an innovative bionic approach to UHPC-enhanced hybrid vertical lathes. This development was carried out in collaboration with the Belorgstankinprom Institute, OAO.

In turn, FMMP Irina Kosyakova and Oleg Devoyno, Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology, addressed the relevant topic of increasing the wear resistance of industrial equipment in their report. They presented the results of their work on optimizing the composition of alloying components and the industrial implementation of laser hardening technology for oil press parts.

We would like to thank the participants for their interest in the conference and wish them further success in their field of work.
