The IPF teacher met with students of engineering classes of schools in the city of Oshmyany

Преподаватель ИПФ встретилась с учащимися инженерных классов школ г. Ошмяны

Career guidance in specialized classes at schools and gymnasiums in the Republic of Belarus is of particular importance for each BNTU graduate department, especially when it comes to students in their assigned classes.

For example, on March 26, 2026, Anna Romanova, Head of the Department of Professional Education and Pedagogy at the BNTU Institute of Applied Physics, held a career guidance and promotional event in Oshmyany for engineering students from M.M. Gruzhevsky Secondary School No. 1 and Secondary School No. 2, assigned to the department.

For reference. In 2026, the Department of Professional Education and Pedagogy will be accepting applicants for the 6-05-0719-01 specialty "Engineering and Pedagogical Activity" (DFPO specializations: mechanical engineering, construction, electric power engineering; ZFPO specializations: mechanical engineering, construction), with the qualification of "Engineer and Teacher."
Graduates of specialized classes at the UOSO (engineering and pedagogical classes) are eligible to enroll in full-time education based on an interview. The course of study will be four years. College graduates who have received the SSO specialty are eligible to enroll in a part-time program, which is a shortened integrated program, meaning the course of study will be three years.
Traditionally, our graduates work as vocational training instructors or as teachers of general and specialized disciplines in colleges, or as lecturers at higher education institutions. However, starting in 2026, the opportunity to work as an engineer at a company in the same field as their specialization will be added. Those gathered were particularly interested in electric power engineering-related specialties due to the fact that a new nuclear power plant has been built and commissioned near Oshmyany, where current engineering students plan to work in the future.

As a result of this event, 17 engineering students from the aforementioned Oshmyany schools expressed their desire to enroll at BNTU in the "Engineering and Pedagogical Activity" major, specializing in "Electric Power Engineering."

This event took place at the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 1 named after M.M. Gruzhevsky," where students from the second school mentioned above were also invited. We would like to thank the leadership of both schools for the opportunity to introduce engineering students to the specifics of admission and study at BNTU.
