On March 20, 2026, a delegation of the Belarusian National Technical University took part in the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists, Students, and College Pupils "Science for Transport Infrastructure", which was held at the Belarusian State University of Transport. The delegation included Vyacheslav Khodyakov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Bridges and Tunnels, Scientific Consultant of the Interdepartmental Student Bureau "Transport Structures", Junior Research Fellow of the Research Laboratory of Operation and Mechanization of the Road Construction Complex, Assistants of the Department - Master's students Yulia Kulago and Evgeny Sharko, as well as students of the Department of Highways Zakhar Isayenya and Emilia Sazanchuk, and of the Department of Bridges and Tunnels Alexander Yurut, Ivan Zavarzin, Nikita Savanovich, Ksenia Yanushkevich, and Kirill Rakhunok.
Presentations by young scientists from the Belarusian State University of Transport, the Russian University of Transport, and the Belarusian National Technical University covered a wide range of topics related to culvert monitoring, the use of recycled materials in transport construction, bridge design, transport logistics, accident reduction, traffic management, the dynamic impact of rail transport on tracks and road transport on bridge expansion joints, and the application of artificial intelligence. All speakers received certificates of participation.
After the conference, the BNTU delegation visited the wonderful cafeteria and the BelSUT Museum, where they learned about the university's history, various models, and other exhibits.
After leaving BelSUT, the delegation began the cultural, unofficial part of the trip, visiting the park on the Sozh River embankment and other attractions of Gomel.
