XV Republican contest "Technointelligence": registration of participants took place at BNTU

XV Республиканский конкурс «ТехноИнтеллект»: в БНТУ прошла регистрация участников

Today, on March 18, the registration of participants of the XV Republican contest of scientific and technical creativity of students "Technointelligence" took place at the Belarusian National Technical University.

This year's large-scale event traditionally brought together talented schoolchildren, high school students, lyceum students and college students from all over the country. The guys came to Minsk to present their developments in 12 thematic sections:

  • Section 1. Technical design.
  • Section 2. Energy and electrical engineering. Energy-saving technologies.
  • Section 3. Ecology and rational use of natural resources.
  • Section 4. Modern and promising materials.
  • Section 5. Robotics, automation and intelligent systems.
  • Section 6. Radio electronics.
  • Section 7. Information systems and technologies.
  • Section 8. Multimedia technologies.
  • Section 9. Aviation, cosmonautics and aerospace engineering.
  • Section 10. Graphics. Creative work on the theme: "Classics and modernity. All about BNTU" dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the university.
  • Section 11. Painting. Creative work on the theme: "My favorite places" (sketches from nature).
  • Section 12. The composition. Creative work on the theme: "Impossible architecture, a look into the future."

The BNTU academic buildings will become a platform for project protection, where an expert jury will evaluate the potential of young people within the framework of the competition.

During registration, Vitalina, a student of secondary school No. 1 Klicheva, told about her project.

– I came up with a revision of my project, and therefore I decided that I need to present it again. My project is biodegradable materials for seedlings and mulching based on corn starch and siderates. It helps plants to germinate better in the soil compared to their traditional counterparts. Once I was with my grandmother on summer vacation, and she was planting seedlings in pulpercaton cups, and I decided that I needed to create my own cups from corn starch and siderates, and we were at the store with my parents, choosing spunbond. Here, too, I wanted to create a film that would be more environmentally friendly. The most difficult part of the project turned out to be calculating the proportions, but I think that I have coped with this task and will present my project perfectly.

Someone came to Minsk not only for a victory, but also for a unique experience. Maxim, a student of the Lyceum of the Belarusian-Russian University, shared his impressions.:

– This is my first time at BNTU. First of all, I liked the atmosphere. My friends from the lyceum also study here, and I think it's a very great place to study. I decided to participate in the Technointelligence contest for the reason that it is important for me to bring my project to people, and I also want to test myself in the ability to express my thoughts and justify the idea and its value. The usefulness of my project lies in the fact that I create an accessible mixed reality environment, that is, it is an application that can be run directly on a smartphone. Instead of expensive headsets, people will have the opportunity to download the app, insert it into any holder and replace all these expensive headsets. This is useful both for technical specialists who need instructions right in front of their eyes, and for the mass user, like tourists, who need to translate languages in real time. My emotions are extremely positive right now, because being here, surrounded by smart, purposeful people, is very important to me, and I develop myself in this way. BNTU means a lot to me, as my friends have talked a lot about this university.

For many participants, registration for the competition is not just a formality, but the first step towards implementing large–scale projects. This year, in the halls of the university, you can meet guys who came to Minsk not only for a victory, but also for the experience of communicating with peers who are starting their way in science, such as Artemiy, a student of secondary school No. 2 named after Tishka Gartnoy.

– My project is an automated industrial system with software control, useful both in production and in educational institutions, as an inexpensive analogue to foreign systems for visual aids in technical universities or in small workshops. The idea of the project came back in the summer, and the beginning of the project was the idea that modern processing methods require high speed and precision when processing parts on a product, and the manual method is error-prone. The development of a universal system that is accessible to almost every enterprise is very important at the moment. At one time, the project was finalized with additional modules such as laser cutting, a rotary tilt table and other additional modules. I feel pretty confident at the moment. I really wanted to get into this competition. I want to listen to other guys' projects and be inspired by them.

Olga Falchevskaya, Deputy Director of the Institute of Integrated Forms of Education and Monitoring of BNTU, summed up the results of the registration.:

– The competition is held to attract young people to scientific and technical creativity, identify and support talented children, develop their engineering thinking and professional motivation. Talented young people from all over Belarus have come to us. To the guys who are currently worried about protection, I wish them not to be afraid of anything, to be brave, daring and free to defend their work. Have fun with the process, because you have passed a long selection process and being a participant is already a victory. Just go ahead!

Tomorrow, on March 19, the grand opening of the competition will take place, after which an exhibition of creative works will be organized. The most important stage will be the defense of projects before an expert jury in 12 thematic sections, and on Friday, March 20, we will learn the names of the winners.

We wish all the contestants good luck in tomorrow's defense!
