Yesterday, March 12, the Belarusian National Technical University became the venue for the national project "The Power of Words". This initiative of the Youth Parliament under the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs of the Belarusian Orthodox Church aims to create an open space for communication between clergy and students.
Note: The project was launched as part of the Cooperation Agreement between the Youth Parliament under the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, which was signed on September 4, 2024, at the Minsk Diocesan Administration of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.
The meeting was attended by university students, who found this dialogue format an opportunity to discuss current issues related to personal development, life values, and modern human responsibility.
Speakers at the event included Yegor Podolyak, member of the International Affairs Commission of the Youth Council of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, and Priest Mikhail Strekha, Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs and Head of the Youth Department of the Minsk Diocese.
The discussion focused on the spiritual and moral development of youth, civic responsibility, and the role of words in modern life. During the meeting, participants discussed the importance of maintaining respect in communication, recognizing the power of the spoken word, and striving for dialogue based on mutual understanding and responsibility.
The lively discussion format allowed students to ask questions and share their thoughts. Participants discussed the challenges facing young people today, as well as the importance of traditional values in finding direction in life.
These meetings create a space for open conversation and help young people gain a fresh perspective on important topics related to personal choice, spiritual values, and the role of the individual in society.
