A dialogue platform with the participation of a practicing lawyer was held at the Institute of Philosophy of Law

Диалоговая площадка с участием практикующего юриста прошла на ИПФ

Today, March 11, the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy hosted a dialogue platform featuring Ivan Khatkevich, a practicing lawyer from the Minsk City Bar Association of the Zavodskoy District of Minsk. One of the central topics was legal education.

For reference: the event served as a platform for improving the legal literacy of students in the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy. The open discussion of key topics—legal education and anti-corruption—attracted active participation from young people, demonstrating a high interest in these issues.

Ivan Khatkevich emphasized the importance of legal literacy, especially for young people beginning their professional careers, and discussed important legal issues that are on everyone's agenda. "Knowing your rights is your protection," he noted, urging students not to be afraid to seek legal assistance if needed.

Another important aspect of the discussion was combating corruption. The lawyer thoroughly examined the main types of corruption crimes, focusing on their impact on society and the economy. He cited examples of various forms of corruption, such as bribery, fraud, and abuse of office. "Corruption harms not only the economy but also public morality. It destroys trust in government and fosters impunity," Ivan Khatkevich emphasized.

The event generated keen interest among students of the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy, who are eager to expand their knowledge of law and socioeconomic issues. The dialogue was held in an open discussion format, allowing students to actively participate and exchange opinions.

Yulia Susha, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work, noted the importance of such events: "Discussing current issues related to citizens' rights and combating corruption fosters active citizenship among students. We must prepare the younger generation to not only know their rights but also protect them and actively participate in the fight against corruption."

Students expressed a desire to continue such discussions and even suggested organizing periodic meetings with lawyers to deepen their knowledge and be better prepared for professional life.
