At the end of February, the youth project "Your Choice" continued at the Postavy District Community Center (Vitebsk Region). The event featured the traditional "Student.by" meeting of first-year students and recent graduates of the city's schools. Nine students from Moscow's universities attended. They are very interesting, goal-oriented, and knowledgeable young people who achieved high scores on the centralized testing and, as a result, have chosen prestigious professions.
The students addressed the 2026 class of applicants. Mikhail Trava, a student in the Instrument Engineering Department majoring in Micro- and Nanosystems Engineering, spoke about his admission to the Belarusian National Technical University, his studies and first exam session, dorm life, and various events held at the Polytechnic University (Freshman's Day, Spartakiad, faculty and university open days, dialogue platforms, meetings with interesting people, etc.).
The high school students' questions were specific: how challenging is the curriculum, what subjects are covered in the first year, and how to adapt to dorm life. Mikhail Trava's sincere and comprehensive answers, based on his personal experience, helped prospective students view the engineering profession as a high-tech, creative field, and helped talented young people make an informed choice in favor of a technical education.
Other participants in the "Your Choice" project – students from the Belarusian State University, the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, the Belarusian State Economic University, the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University, and the Belarusian National Technical University (Faculty of Energy) – also shared their university admissions stories with the students and discussed their chosen specialties.
