Choosing a future profession is one of the most important steps in a graduate's life. To help students navigate the world of engineering education, a representative of the Belarusian National Technical University visited T. A. Lukyanovich Secondary School No. 178 in Minsk.
As part of a career guidance meeting, Sergei Aleksandrovich Dolgy, assistant professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Machine Components, gave 11th-grade students a fascinating insight into the world of technology. The students learned about the rich history of the department, which for decades has been a breeding ground for highly qualified engineering professionals in the Republic of Belarus.
Sergey Aleksandrovich gave a presentation about the faculty, focusing on modern areas of engineering training that are in demand in the era of digitalization and automation of production.
Particular attention was paid to analyzing passing scores from previous years, which will allow applicants to assess their abilities and outline a clear plan for preparing for exams.
The meeting took the form of a lively dialogue. The prospective students expressed interest in enrolling at BNTU, asking questions about not only the academic process but also student life. Importantly, the young men were interested not only in a high-quality engineering education but also in the opportunity to undergo military training right within the walls of their alma mater.
It is gratifying to note that many schoolchildren are already thinking about obtaining not only a bachelor's degree, but also further in-depth studies in a master's degree program.
