In dormitory No. 16, students of the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy (FEP) celebrated Maslenitsa. The event attracted a large number of participants, including Yulia Susha, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work, Tatiana Yekimova, a teacher of FEP students, and Irina Ignatkovich, the curator of study group 10903125.
For your information, Maslenitsa is an ancient Slavic holiday with numerous customs that have survived through the centuries. It is celebrated during the week before Great Lent. In 2026, Maslenitsa Week is celebrated from February 16 to 22.
The students prepared not only delicious treats, but also an entertaining program. Of course, the centerpiece of the celebration was the pancakes, the symbol of Maslenitsa. The participants enjoyed cooking them, and then watched a fun skit about Maslenitsa, where the students perfectly portrayed their characters and brought smiles to everyone. Afterward, everyone enjoyed the delicious hot pancakes with various fillings.
The warm atmosphere, jokes, laughter, and friendly communication were the way the IPF students spent the cold winter. The students exchanged their impressions and shared their culinary secrets.
Yulia Susha emphasized the importance of such events for team building and promoting cultural traditions. Tatiana Yekimova also expressed her gratitude to the students for their active participation and creative approach to organizing the event.
