Establishing effective cooperation between BNTU and Hebei Transport Vocational and Technical Institute

Организация эффективного сотрудничества между БНТУ и Хэбэйским транспортным профессионально-техническим институтом

Yesterday, November 5, 2025, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted a delegation from the Hebei Transport Vocational and Technical Institute (People's Republic of China). The  meeting focused on discussing joint educational projects and developing scientific and technical cooperation in the field of transport and transport infrastructure.

For reference: Hebei Transport Vocational and Technical Institute was founded in 1956. It is the only state-run higher vocational institute in Hebei Province, training specialists for land, sea, and air transportation. Currently, the institute employs over 600 staff members and enrolls 15,000 students.

The international delegation was represented by Rector Ma Liang Jun, Head of the International Relations Office Sun Hui, Dean of the Faculty of Road and Bridge Engineering Wang Daoyuan, official representative Yang Zhi, and Director of the ‘OBRAZOVANI’E Education and Culture Center Damir Mukhametov.

From BNTU, the meeting and negotiations were led by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yuri Nikolaychik, Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation Pavel Shirvel, Dean of the Faculty of Transport Communications Sergey Kravchenko, Dean of the Faculty of Automobile and Tractor Engineering Sergey Skirkovsky, and Heads of the Departments of ‘Bridges and Tunnels’ and ‘Highways’ Vladimir Grechukhin and Tatyana Chistova.

During the talks, the parties reached agreements on implementing specific initiatives: organizing work to open joint educational programs in promising specialties, organizing academic exchanges for students and faculty, and conducting joint internships for students and faculty.

At the end of the visit, the Chinese delegation toured the facilities of two faculties key to the initiatives under discussion—Transport Communications and Automobile and Tractor Engineering. The guests were shown modern laboratories, classrooms, and specialized equipment used to train highly qualified engineers.

These agreements mark a new chapter in cooperation between the two educational institutions, laying a solid foundation for long-term and fruitful collaboration in the training of highly qualified personnel.
