Today, September 5, a landmark event for the educational systems of Belarus and China took place in Harbin: the Belarusian National Technical University and North-Eastern University (NEU) signed an agreement to establish a joint faculty of Chinese technologies. The ceremony was held as part of the 2025 International Conference on the Integration and Development of Industry, Education, and Scientific Research, which brought together representatives of the academic and business communities of the two countries.
The new faculty will serve as a platform for training specialists in the most in-demand and promising fields: information technology, artificial intelligence, automation, and digital manufacturing. Curriculums will be developed to meet current labor market demands, combining fundamental knowledge with practical skills. Students will have the opportunity to study in an international environment, participate in joint projects, and immerse themselves in the scientific and technological cultures of China and Belarus.
– This agreement opens new horizons for students and faculty on both sides. It will provide a unique educational experience in an international environment and immerse them in the cultures of science and technology in both countries. As noted by the parties, the agreement provides for a wide range of bilateral initiatives, including student and faculty exchanges, joint research, participation in international conferences and projects, and the development of educational infrastructure at both universities.
The creation of the joint faculty is a step toward strengthening international ties, developing innovative technologies, and nurturing a new generation of engineers, researchers, and leaders.
