ICF takes part in the volunteer project “Castles of Belarus”

ФМС участвует в волонтерском проекте «Замки Беларуси»

From July 22 to August 2 Belarusian Association of UNESCO Clubs organize the volunteer project “Castles of Belarus”. This event will take place in beautiful Belarusian city Nesvizh. Volunteer’s main tasks are cleaning up garbage and branches, removing sand, and improving the appearance of historical, cultural, and natural sites in Nesvizh and the castle itself.

ICF student Anetta Rahmedova is also taking part in this project. She said that various excursions and cultural events are organized for the participants: creative evenings, board games, quests, trainings. Anetta sees participation in such a large-scale volunteer project not only as an opportunity to contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage, but also a unique experience of personal growth. She gained valuable skills, made new friends, broadened her horizons, learned more about the history of Belarus, and truly felt connected to the past.

This is an example of how love for history and concern for cultural heritage can unite people of different nationalities and ages to achieve a noble goal. We would like to express our gratitude to the project founders for the opportunity for foreign students to participate in such a large-scale project.
