Today, October 1-st, the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics launched training camps in programming for teams of higher educational institutions of Belarus and foreign countries. They are a stage of preparation for the next cycle of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) among university teams.
For reference: the programming training camps are a series of intensive five-hour contests during which teams solve problems and compete within the tournament table, and then the jury members give lectures and analyze the tasks. Together with the Belarusian National Technical University, the organizers of the meetings are representatives of the specialized departments of the Belarusian State University and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.

Such a large-scale event is being held at BNTU for the second time. In 2024, teams from five Belarusian universities will participate in it. A team from ADA University from Baku and three teams from the Far Eastern Federal University also arrived in Minsk. Students from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan will participate online.

The participants were addressed with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics Andrey Avsievich, the head of the team of the Far Eastern Federal University Tim Seleznev, the representative of Huawei Pavel Rudak, the jury member, the head of the Department of Discrete Mathematics and Algorithms of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science of BSU Vladimir Kotov.

The BNTU training camp will be held on October 8, 2024 in the format of the ICPC World Programming Championship final. This will allow participants to receive a guaranteed set of high-quality tasks, gain extensive experience in solving them and in the future decently represent their university at the international level.

Congratulations to the participants on the start of the training camp ! We wish them success in solving their tasks.
