Today, August 20, at the Belarusian National Technical University a meeting was held with representatives of the Chinese Technology Transfer Center of the SCO member states. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation with higher education institutions in Belarus.

At the beginning of the meeting the guests were given a tour of the exhibition of achievements of the Science and Technology Park of BNTU “Polytechnic”. Manager for the support of innovative entrepreneurship at the technopark Maxim Zhurkevich introduced the audience to it. He demonstrated samples of technologies that are presented at the Science and Technology Park of BNTU “Polytechnic” and demand in various sectors of the economy.
– Our technopark was established in 1922. Then we started our work with the classical directions for a technical university: materials science and mechanical engineering.Now the system includes about 15 enterprises.”Together with our employees we work with such areas as: electronics, mechanical engineering, agriculture,transport,petrochemistry” said Maxim Zhurkevich.
Then the delegation was invited to the conference hall, where negotiations with representatives of the Belarusian side took place. These included:
Sergey Vasilyevich greeted those present and introduced the participants of the meeting to each other. He presented the activities of the Belarusian National Technical University to the guests, told about the history of the university, its mission and values. The rector also shared the latest achievements of BNTU and noted the most significant events in the more than a century-old history of the university. He paid special attention to the Order of Labor Glory, which in 2020, the first among higher education institutions in the country, was awarded to BNTU.
Then the participants of the meeting presented their activities in turn. Thus, Yu Biibo not only spoke about the work of the Chinese Technology Transfer Center of the SCO member states, but also introduced the business cards of the city of Qingdao, one of the most important international transport hubs, the center of industrial enterprises and international talent support programs for the development of transport, maritime and medical spheres in the country.
Alexander Bakhanovich summed up the results of the meeting:
– I am sincerely glad that today's dialogue took place. We saw how much potential our cooperation has. It will be great if we combine our capabilities. I am convinced that we are ready to move on to the development of specific projects and educational programs.
