Today, on January 25, a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science took place at the Belarusian National Technical University.
For reference: annually, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus, on the last Sunday of January, the professional holiday of scientists of our country is celebrated – the Day of Belarusian Science.In 2024, the festive events are held under the slogan "Science, innovation, quality".

The first Vice-Rector of BNTU Andrey Safonov was invited to the stage for a welcoming speech.

Congratulating those present on their professional holiday, Andrey Ivanovich presented high awards from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus to employees who have made a significant contribution to the scientific activities of BNTU.Thus, the holders of certificates of honor from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus for significant personal contribution to the development of science and innovation on the Day of Belarusian Science became:



Then Vice-Rector for Research BNTU Ksenia Yakushenko and Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Guchok made welcoming remarks.


Then the head of the Department of Materials Science in Mechanical Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanics and Technology, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Valery Konstantinov made a report on the topic "Energy- and resource-saving improvement of a number of technologies for chemical and thermal treatment of steels and alloys".It should also be noted that Valery Mikhailovich was granted a grant by the President of the Republic of Belarus in the field of science for 2023.

After the report, Ksenia Valentinovna took the stage again to present a number of awards to university employees:




Dmitry Stepanenko, Professor of the Department of “Design and production of devices”, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, was recognized as the winner of the competition "The best young Scientist of BNTU 2023" in the nomination "Instrumentation".
