On April 20, 2023, the II International Conference was held at the Department of Belarusian and Russian Languages of the Faculty of International Cooperation STUDENT SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE "Language – Society is Culture."
Students of BNTU, as well as students of universities of China, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and other countries took part in it. Offline and online, in person and in absentia, they acquainted the conference participants with their research in the field of language, culture and science.
The reports presented at the plenary session were science-intensive and fascinating, sometimes opening up whole layers of the "cultural part" of countries and civilizations to the audience, immersing them in the atmosphere of national music, literature, history, architecture and art.
After the general plenary session, section 1 began its work, at which representatives of China and Russia highlighted the issues of the humanities: linguistics and literary studies.
Graduate student of the Academy of Sciences Zhang Qiming made two reports, where he introduced a lot of examples in great detail listeners with linguistic means of expressing praise and punishment in the "Pedagogical Poem" by A. Makarenko, as well as in the Russian classical literature of the XIX century in the aspect of the formation of the child's personality.
The greatest interest was aroused by the report of undergraduate student Huang Ningning on the importance of the quality of a teacher's speech in the process of teaching music, as well as the report of Liu Hanyu, in the presentation of which there were many fascinating and beautiful images on the origin and evolution of Chinese hieroglyphs.
The work of the section “Topical issues of cultural studies” was attended by 15 students participated: from Lebanon, Belarus, Tajikistan, Italy, China, Uzbekistan, Colombia.
The online section "Peculiarities of the Chinese language and culture" worked within the framework of the conference. The program of the section stated 10 participants from representatives of three Chinese universities: Shenyang Institute of Technology, Hefei University of Technology and Guangdong University of Finance and Economics.
The topics of the presented reports are wide: cultural symbols and traditions of China, features of the Chinese language, native university, modern technologies and their impact on the country's economy. All the reports turned out to be informative and interesting.
We would like to mention the report of the students of the Shenyang Institute of Technology Zhao Lingbo and Ji Ruiying entitled "Chengyu – the secret fund of Chinese culture", in which they talked about the meaning and origin of many stable expressions in chinese language. The students' report was accompanied by a colorful musical presentation, and Zhang Lingbo and Ji Ruiying themselves were dressed in traditional Chinese costumes. The students also demonstrated not only knowledge Chinese phraseological units, but also phraseological units of the Russian language.
In the section "Actual problems of linguodidactics in the era of information technology", speakers spoke in Russian, English and Turkmen about the mportance of IT in the field of education, about the necessity of learning foreign languages, about ways and methods of mastering the latest teaching skills, about the role and status of a teacher in a modern classroom, about the moods and expectations of a modern student. The authors of these reports are students of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
The conference was also attended by Belarusian students of such faculties as FCE, ATF, PEF, FMTH. In their section "Topical issues of the Belarusian language and culture", the participants discussed such issues as the toponymy of the small motherland, lexical features of various styles of the modern Belarusian language, themes, problems, linguistic means of expression in the works of Belarusian authors.
In section 6 there were reports on such subjects as physics, chemistry, biology, computer science.
A lively discussion was caused by the report of the listener of the preparation course of The Department of the Faculty of International Cooperation from Iran Behnam Ebadi "Technologies of 3D visualization in the study of the section "Anatomy" in biology" (supervisor - teacher Kavtsevich Irina Anatolyevna). The opportunity to study the details of the structure of the human heart in a three-dimensional image on the screen, to look at the ventricle from the inside, to identify individual veins was very interesting and informative.
Practical application was found by the work of the students of the preparatory department of the ICF from the National Republic of China Zhu Fanyu, Yang Yuzhu and Yang Zhiqi. Developed by them under the guidance of Associate Professor Gorbachevsky Dmitry Anatolyevich dictionary of special terms on the topic "Kinematics" will be used in the educational process to teach the discipline "Physics" to students of the preparatory department of the Faculty of International Cooperation, who recently arrived from China.
Within the framework of the section "Topical issues of the Chinese language and culture", all those present plunged into the wonders of Chinese culture: they heard the author's treatments of Chinese folk songs, discussed the problems of museification of the intangible cultural heritage of China. Within its framework, 9 reports were made, among the speakers were students of BNTU, a graduate student of BGAM and a graduate student of BGUKI.
Engineering students have prepared reports that are close to their specialty, telling about the advanced developments of Chinese companies in the creation of high-speed trains and MAZ cooperation/MZKT with Chinese companies.
Russian and Chinese were also compared: a student of BNTU spoke about the cultural features of Chinese idioms and compared them with Russian and showed that even despite the great differences between the two cultures, there is also a lot in common between them that finds expression in language and says that no matter how different people are, the same values are important to them: family, health and good attitude to each other.
