Sports Club
The Sports Club of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) is dedicated to fostering a vibrant sporting culture within the university community and beyond. Our primary goal is to organize and conduct year-round competitions as part of the BNTU Spartakiad, preparing university athletes for district, city, and national sports and health-improvement events, including the Republican Universiade, World University Games, European University Championships, and Olympic Games.
Objectives of the Sports Club:

Collaboration with University Administration: Working alongside the university administration, medical services, and departments of Physical Education and Sports, the club implements extracurricular physical education programs aimed at fostering motivation for physical improvement, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and enhancing the athletic proficiency of students.

Development of Student Sports Initiative: Promoting student autonomy and initiative within the sports realm, fostering student-led groups, collectives, and teams to explore and develop their physical and athletic capabilities in chosen sports activities.

Design and Implementation of Programs: Creating and executing physical education, health, and sports programs, organizing sporting events, Spartakiads, and recreational sports camps to engage students and staff in physical activities.

Mass Sports Events: Organizing and hosting mass sports events during non-academic hours in student dormitories, among students and staff, including fee-based activities utilizing adapted facilities.

Formation of Amateur Sports Groups: Establishing amateur sports associations, clubs, groups, and teams across various sports disciplines, providing methodological and practical support for their activities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Engagement in Physical Education: Encouraging systematic engagement in physical activities among students, postgraduates, faculty, staff, and their families to cultivate physical and moral qualities, improve health, reduce illness rates, and enhance professional readiness and social activity within the university community
- Formation of Sections and Teams: Establishing sections and teams in various sports disciplines, organizing recreational activities for students and staff, and attracting a broad spectrum of athletes and sports enthusiasts to participate in community-focused events.
- Promotion of Public Sports Initiatives: Fostering public engagement in mass physical education and sports activities, developing public sports leaders (sports organizers, referees, instructors, coaches, etc.), and advancing societal elements within mass physical education and sports work.
- Record Keeping and Achievement Recognition: Maintaining records and achievements in sports, forming university teams for competitive events, and ensuring systematic coverage of all activities in press, on the sports club's website, and in the Sports Hall of Fame.
- Efficient Facility Management:** Ensuring the rational and effective use of sports facilities, equipment, and resources, and securing the safety of events through proper planning and budgeting.
- International Collaboration: Collaborating with international student sports organizations to foster friendly relations between youth from different countries, share experiences, and engage in joint activities.
- Sports Qualifications and Awards: Awarding sports ranks (1st, 2nd, 3rd degrees) and sports judging categories ("sports judge") to athletes and officials based on their accomplishments and contributions to sports development.
- Preparation for Higher-Level Competitions: Training and preparing university athletes and teams for participation in regional, national, and international sports competitions.
