Only here, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, for the first time in the Republic, the CIS and Europe, a new direction for training specialists "Intelligent Systems" was opened, and within its framework - the most promising, most modern, future-oriented specialties: 1-55 01 01 "Intelligent devices, machines and production" and 1-55 01 02 "Integral sensor systems". The Department of "Intelligent Systems" was founded in 1998. From 1998 to 2012 it was headed by the winner of many national and international awards, doctor of technical sciences, professor, academician of a number of international academies (USA, England, Spain, Russia, etc.) V.M. Koleshko. Since 2013, the head of the department is the laureate of the State Prize, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Gulai Anatoly Vladimirovich. The department prepares specialists capable of creating, designing, to model and operate intelligent devices, machines, technologies and productions, computerized subsystems and integrated sensory microsystems to solve many urgent problems of the development of industrial and agricultural production, the fuel and energy complex, housing and communal services, energy and resource saving, transport, tax and banking sectors , environmental monitoring and human health, public and national security, building a new information society. The department conducts training of scientific and pedagogical personnel through master's, postgraduate and doctoral studies of the European Scientific School of Professor Koleshko V.M. "Intelligent Systems Engineering", conducting fundamental and applied scientific research, training and scientific and technical development in order to create new technology with reason. The staff of the department has talented professors, associate professors, teachers and engineers who concentrate their efforts in the direction of creative activity in the field of education, culture, science and enlightenment.
