The Department of "Electrical Systems" was organized in September 1963 with the aim of training electrical engineers in the specialty "Electrical Systems and Networks". Over the past period, the department has graduated more than 2500 engineers, trained 3 doctors and 80 candidates of technical sciences, more than 180 masters of technical sciences in the field of electrical systems and networks. A scientific and pedagogical team has been formed and continues to develop, an appropriate school for training personnel and conducting scientific research has been created. Graduates of the department successfully work in all corners of the Republic of Belarus, in various regions of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, in Western Europe (Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, etc.), in dozens of countries in North, Central and South Africa, South and North America, the Middle East and Asia. Graduates of the department have made and are making a worthy contribution to the reliable and uninterrupted operation of the Belarusian energy system, to ensuring the activity of such a vital sector of the national economy as the electric power industry. The basis of the department is made up of employees whose labor activity within the walls of higher education is 20, 30 or more years, who have accumulated vast experience in pedagogical and scientific work, which they use with full dedication in the preparation and education of young specialists.
