| SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH WORK OF THE DEPARTMENT |
The organization of research work of students (SRW) of the university is built in accordance with the Instruction on the organization of research work of students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus, approved by the Decree of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus dated March 31, 2006 No. 27.
Since the educational process includes elements of scientific creativity, the forms of scientific research are conditionally divided into two categories:
- SRW included in the educational process;
- NIRS, performed during extracurricular time.
The main forms of SRW performed as part of the educational process are:
- SRW included in the curriculum of the department, the work plan of the EP;
- elements of research work in the implementation of graduation and course projects (works);
- elements of research work in the performance of laboratory and practical work;
- performance of scientific research during educational, industrial and pre-diploma practices;
- preparation of a scientific abstract;
- student scientific seminars;
- performance of individual tasks with elements of creative search.
The main forms of SRW performed during extracurricular time are:
- individual work at the department;
- work in scientific and subject circles of various levels;
- participation of students in the implementation of state budget and contractual research work;
- work in student research laboratories (SNIL), student design bureaus (SPB), creative workshops and studios and other similar associations;
- participation in scientific conferences, seminars, competitions of scientific works, scientific and technical exhibitions and subject Olympiads.
The main forms of research work are: individual work of a teacher with students, work in scientific and subject circles, preparation of reports for scientific and technical conferences, presentation of exhibits and models for exhibitions, participation in competitions. Most intensively students begin to be involved in scientific work in the third year . in parallel with the passage of special disciplines. Teachers choose for the most capable students the topics of term papers in disciplines in such a way that they include elements of scientific theoretical and often experimental research. The results of these works serve as the basis for scientific publications, applications for inventions, reports at scientific conferences. As a result, by the 5th year, a creative, interested in scientific work student, as a rule, has several publications, repeatedly speaks not only at university, but also at republican and international conferences, and receives a recommendation for admission to postgraduate or master's programs.
The main forms of research work at the departments of social sciences are: participation in conferences, work in circles, individual work with a supervisor, writing essays on optional topics.
In the research laboratories and centers of the university, 18 student bureaus have been organized for centralized coordination of research under the guidance of well-known scientists in priority areas of fundamental and applied science.
One of the most important indicators of the results of scientific work of BNTU students is participation in the Republican competition of scientific works of students, which is held annually with the participation of all universities of the Republic of Belarus.
Detailed information about the Republican competition of scientific works of students of the Republic of Belarus can be found on the BSU website www.sws.bsu.by
Within the framework of NIRS (scientific research work of students), the department annually hosts the section "Electrical Systems" of the SNTK "Actual problems of energy" (November-April),
Chairman: Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. Fursanov M.I. deputy Chairman: Ph.D., Assoc. Kalentionok E.V. Secretary: Petrashevich N.S. (email address elsyst@bntu.by , petrashevich@bntu.by ).
The students of the department take an active part in the Olympiads, which are held at the Ivanovo Power Engineering Institute (Russian Federation) and the Case-In case championship.
