May 21, 2026 An educational seminar on the topic was held at the Minsk State College of Construction named after I.M. Kamensky "Modern materials and technologies for using acrylic stone" .
The event was organized on the initiative of LLC " KhimPromOil " and was carried out in the college's flooring workshop.
First-year students majoring in Engineering and Pedagogical Activity (specializing in Construction) from the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogical Studies at BNTU participated in the seminar. Olga Petrovna Evseeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Professional Training and Pedagogy, provided guidance to the students.
The seminar was aimed at deepening the students' professional knowledge within the framework of the working profession they were mastering: "Tiler" and "Floor Covering Installer".
During the event, students were introduced to the following issues:
- types and properties of acrylic stone;
- production methods and areas of application of the material;
- technology for manufacturing products from acrylic stone.
Particular attention was paid to the practical aspects of using acrylic stone in modern construction and finishing works.
It should be noted that the Competence Center of the Educational Institution “Minsk State College of Construction named after I.M. Kamensky” is the base platform where students majoring in “Construction” undergo training industrial training using network interaction when mastering the working profession of "Floor covering installer".
The seminar was a logical continuation of this educational practice, allowing students to expand their understanding of modern materials used in their professional activities.
Participation in such seminars contributes to:
- formation of relevant professional competencies;
- establishing direct links with representatives of the real sector of the economy;
- improving the quality of training of engineering and teaching staff.
