The main part of the Belarusian National Technical University Open Day, held on May 16, 2026, took place in the modern and cozy inner courtyard of the main building.
The Instrumentation Engineering Faculty (PSF) was represented by Dean Alexander Svistun, Deputy Dean Igor Servachinsky, and the heads of graduating departments. Faculty members of the Department of Information and Measurement Technology and Technologies – Sergey Borisenok and Daniil Syomin – also actively took part in the event.
A key part of the program was interaction with employer companies.
The enterprises UP STC “LEMT” BelOMO and JSC Peleng presented their exhibits and shared information about targeted training opportunities.
A large program for prospective students unfolded in Building 17 of BNTU.
Associate Professor of the Department of Micro- and Nanotechnology Elena Shcherbakova delivered a presentation on PSF majors, explained the admission rules, and answered numerous questions from schoolchildren and their parents.
For the guests, a masterclass “From Sand to Processor” was organized, led by Associate Professor Dmitry Balakhonov from the Department of Micro- and Nanotechnology.
Head of the Department of Design and Production of Instruments Andrey Savchenko gave a detailed presentation about the specializations of his department.
Special emphasis in the faculty’s career guidance work was placed on students of engineering classes. These schoolchildren, who are already mastering the basics of technical disciplines, were able not only to learn about admission requirements but also to personally interact with department representatives – from students to department heads.
The Open Day became a vivid example of systematic career guidance work, bringing together education, industry, and live communication.
