MSF students took first place at the international festival "Future SCO Engineers" in Tashkent

From April 27 to 30, the large-scale international festival "Future Engineers of the SCO" was held in Tashkent, dedicated to specialization in robotics. The competition brought together the best representatives of the youth engineering community from Belarus, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The Belarusian National Technical University was represented at the festival by students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ilya Baimler and Ivan Sheiko.

During the competitive trials, the team demonstrated the operation of an autonomous robot on a three-wheeled base. The competition program included various robotics tasks:

• Autonomous navigation through a maze in the shortest possible time;
• Recognition of road signs using machine vision systems;
• Simulation of a rescue operation to find and evacuate a victim.

Thanks to a high level of technical training and the precision of their algorithms, the BNTU team outperformed their competitors and won the honorable 1st place.

The University congratulates Ilya and Ivan on this outstanding achievement and wishes them new engineering successes on the international stage!
