On Thursday, April 23, 2026, Dormitory No. 8 of the Instrument Engineering Faculty was bustling and vibrant: the long-awaited "Best Student Room" competition was underway. The students approached the task with imagination and passion, transforming a simple review of cozy spaces into a true festival of creativity and originality.
Each room greeted the judges with its own unique atmosphere. The girls from room 522 set the tone first, choosing a challenging but very heartwarming theme: the USSR. They transported everyone back to another era: familiar songs played with guitar, and the students themselves appeared as Young Pioneers.
The girls from room 403, dressed in national costumes, not only vividly described themselves and their hometowns but also led the audience in an educational quiz about Belarusian cities. In room 415, guests were greeted with guitar playing and culinary demonstrations. In rooms 309 and 314, the guys also followed a clear plan: they briefly and manfully introduced themselves, where they came from, and how they lived.
Room 227 was transformed into a fairytale forest. The girls not only introduced themselves but also amazed everyone with their culinary skills – they treated the guests to homemade marshmallows, beautifully decorated in the shape of flowers.
Room 114 was filled with warmth and sincerity. The girls shared a touching story about how three completely different personalities managed not only to coexist in one room but also to create a truly cozy and homey atmosphere.
All the guys prepared very well. Each room proved that even a dorm can become a home. Nevertheless, the jury declared room 403 and its residents, Zlata Marchenko and Milana Muzheiko, the best student dorm room.
All competition participants received certificates in their respective categories, as well as sweet gifts. Congratulations to the winners!
