From April 9 to 16, students from groups 10302124 and 10302224 of the Engineering Economics Department of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering participated in the "Summer School" educational program at Tashkent State University of Economics. The trip was an important step in developing international cooperation and opened up new opportunities for the exchange of experience and knowledge.
One of the accompanying students, TSUE student Asadbek Azizjon ugli Murodilov, shared the program's goals:
– The main goal is to develop sustainable academic and cultural ties between students from the two universities. It is important to create conditions for knowledge sharing, joint discussion of professional interests, and the establishment of long-term contacts. Furthermore, strengthening mutual understanding and fostering positive experiences of international cooperation is an important objective.
The students were accompanied by Anastasia Volkova, Head of the Department of International Programs, Exchanges, and Protocol at the Faculty of International Cooperation. They were greeted warmly and cordially at the airport.
The visit began on April 10th, when students from the BNTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering began their studies at Tashkent State University of Economics. Lectures and joint project work were followed by an informal session, during which the students spent a fascinating time exploring Uzbekistan's historical sites. The students visited the State Museum of Timurid History and Amir Timur Square and were pleasantly surprised by the rich heritage of the great dynasty and the legends surrounding the commander. The following days were no less eventful.
– The first day in Tashkent was incredibly eventful and left a very pleasant, unforgettable impression. We were greeted warmly and cordially at Tashkent State University of Economics, and shown the campus and surrounding area. Then we went to classes. The first lecture was memorable for its discussion of digital transformation and the credit-modular education system for students in Uzbekistan. It was especially gratifying to hear about the close international cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan. And the State Temurid Museum revealed to us the amazing diversity of history – not only of Uzbekistan, but also of all neighboring countries. After visiting Amir Temur Park, we were intrigued to learn the story behind his nickname "Tamerlane" – it turns out it's not just his military achievements but also his unwavering will. We ended the day on a lighter note at Navruz Park, where we rode the largest Ferris wheel in the country. The view of the city from above is breathtaking, but even more impressive is how everything here is thoughtfully designed for the comfort of guests. Tashkent surprised us with its openness. The students spent a lot of time walking around Tashkent and its sights, visited the Chimgan Mountains, and sampled the national cuisine. An unforgettable trip to Samarkand, the pearl of Uzbekistan, a place where history and modernity intertwine, was also organized.
On Wednesday, April 15, a ceremony was held to present certificates for participation in the international "Summer School" program. The certificates were presented to the students by Tulkin Zakirovich Teshabaev, Rector of TSUE.
The trip to Uzbekistan was not only a revelation for the students but also a valuable learning experience. The students made friends and took over a hundred photographs that will forever remain warm memories.
