Today, on April 17, the VIII Republican Youth Festival-Competition "Mediasfera - 2026" ended in Grodno. A large-scale forum brought together young journalists, bloggers and videographers from all over the country. The event included a viewing and discussion of the finalists' works, as well as an exciting master class called "Creative Sprint." However, the main event was the award ceremony.
The video "BNTU Remembers. We Keep the Memory in Our Hearts," created by the BNTU Student Council, was presented at the festival by Pavel Loiko, the commander of the BNTU Volunteer Squad and a student from the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering, and Elizaveta Mishkova, the chairman of the BNTU Student Council and a student from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. They also starred in the video.
Even before the finals, BNTU already had a diploma in the Audience Award nomination for the video "BNTU remembers. We keep our memory in our hearts."
— To receive such awards is a confirmation that our ideas resonate with people. Our project is dedicated to an important topic, and we are glad that we were able to bring it to the audience, – Pavel Loiko shared his emotions.
The second day of the forum continued with a dialogue platform with the participation of invited journalists, finalists of the festival and heads of project teams. The culmination of the event was the announcement of the winners of the MediaSphere 2026.
According to the jury's findings, the video of the BNTU Student Council's "BNTU Remembers. We Keep the Memory in Our Hearts" took the honorable first place in the "Electronic Media (Professionals)" category. Additionally, the organizers mentioned that this video will be broadcast on the "Belarus 4. Grodno" channel on May 9.
– It was a pleasure to receive the winners' diploma, but we were truly delighted when we learned about the broadcast on the "Belarus 4" channel on May 9. This is the case when the award opened up a real opportunity to be involved in the country's main holiday not on social media, but on regional television, – said Elizaveta Mishkova.
