Career guidance route: Mogilev lyceum students familiarized themselves with the Federal State Educational Institution and the Federal Institute of Technical Regulation and Trade

On March 26, 2026, employees of the Department of career Guidance and advertising and information work at IIFOiMO organized and conducted an excursion for students of grades 10-11 of the Mogilev State Regional Lyceum No. 3 to the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics (FITR) and the Faculty of Energy Construction (FEZ). The staff of the department informed the students about the importance of engineering education for the development of the economy of the Republic of Belarus, the diversity of BNTU faculties and specialties, opportunities and prospects for admission to the university.

At the Faculty of Energy Engineering, Associate Professor of the Department Sergey Mikhailovich Kurchevsky told the students about the faculty, specialties and specializations, the specifics of admission on the terms of targeted training, and the prospects for further employment. The students visited the "Center for Technical Hydromechanics and Hydraulic Machines" and got acquainted with the model of the shipping lock (connecting structure), which allows the vessel to be transported from the river located above to the river with a lower water level. Vyacheslav Vladimirovich Vlasov, senior lecturer, elaborated on the specialty "Water vehicles" and answered the children's questions.

The students also visited the laboratory "Water Supply and Sanitation", where Anna Kolobako, an assistant at the department, introduced students to the specifics of the department, methods and methods of water purification.

At the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics, Vladimir Petrovich Zayarny, head of the Robotics Systems Laboratory, familiarized students with the specialties and profiles of the faculty, the disciplines studied, demonstration stands prepared by students as part of course and diploma projects, and also spoke about the advantages of targeted training and the specifics of employment. High school students learned about the possibility of participating in the scientific, cultural and leisure activities of the faculty.

It should be noted that this career guidance event is a good way to bring students to an understanding of the importance of timely and informed choice of a future profession.
