On Saturday, March 14, 2026, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME) of the Belarusian National Technical University held an Open Day (ODD). Organizers prepared a comprehensive program aimed at immersing applicants in the field of modern mechanical engineering and introducing them to in-demand engineering professions.
Dean of the Faculty, Anastasia Vitalievna Arabey, and Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work, Elena Nikolaevna Kostyukevich, delivered welcoming remarks. In a vibrant presentation, they highlighted the key advantages of studying at FME: a wide range of specializations, unique curricula, and successful employment prospects at leading companies in the country.
Following the presentation, applicants had the opportunity to visit the Digital Engineering Competence Center.
The Center's main objectives are: organizing and implementing educational, methodological, and innovative activities, and coordinating networking with educational institutions offering training in the following higher education specialties: "Automation of Technological Processes and Production," "Mechanical Engineering Technology, Machine Tools and Tools," "Engineering Economics," "Innovative Technologies in Mechanical Engineering," and "Engineering Business."
Prospective students were particularly delighted by the intellectual game "Wheel of Fortune," where they were able to test their knowledge in technical and economic fields and experience a spirit of healthy competition.
The day was spent in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Lively interaction with faculty and students helped guests find answers to all their questions, dispel doubts, and make a choice about their future profession. A warm conclusion to the evening was the presentation of souvenirs handcrafted by students and faculty members, which will long serve as reminders of their visit to BNTU.
