On March 18, 2026, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering held the 5th International Open Internet Olympiad in "Strength of Materials" for students from higher education institutions in Turkmenistan and abroad. The official languages of the Internet Olympiad were Turkmen, Russian, and English.
Twenty students from the Belarusian National Technical University (Automotive and Tractor Faculty, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Military Technical Faculty, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Transport Communications) participated in the Olympiad (held in individual competitions only).
The Internet Olympiad was held on the ZOOM platform with a video surveillance system enabled to monitor the participants' actions throughout the entire time allocated for solving the problems. BNTU students participated in the Olympiad in two classrooms: one led by the Department of Theoretical Mechanics and Mechanics of Materials (Department Head Eugen Krushevski, Associate Professor Larisa Reut, and Senior Lecturer Svetlana Goncharova) and the other by the Department of Mathematical Methods in Construction (Department Head Sviatlana Charniauskaya and Associate Professor Volha Viarbitskaya).
At least 1,000 students from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, China, and Malaysia participated in the Olympiad. Technical support was excellent, the Olympiad was well-organized, and the students demonstrated a strong commitment to achieving good results.
According to the Olympiad results, BNTU students
were awarded Diplomas of the 2nd Degree.
We congratulate our diploma winners and wish them continued success in their studies and research! We also express our gratitude to their professors: Zhanna Dikan, Senior Lecturer of the Theoretical Mechanics and Mechanics of Materials Department, and Larisa Reut, Associate Professor the same department.
