On Friday, March 6, 2026, as part of the Year of Belarusian Women, a round table discussion entitled "Formula for Success" was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with representatives of the faculty, faculty leadership, the student body of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and the youth wing of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Belarusian Union of Women.
Anastasia Vitalievna Arabey, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor; Tatyana Aleksandrovna Sakhnovich, Head of the Engineering Economics Department, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor; Olga Konstantinovna Yatskevich, Senior Researcher at the Industry Research Laboratory of Plasma and Laser Technologies, PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor, and Professor of the Technological Equipment Department; and Yulia Igorevna Kasach, Head of the Digital Engineering Competence Center and Senior Lecturer of the Technological Equipment Department, shared their formulas for success and women's happiness.
The meeting was moderated by Elena Nikolaevna Kostyukevich, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work, who congratulated everyone present on the upcoming holiday and began the discussion with the words of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko: "A Belarusian woman is more than just words; she is an entire philosophy: she is a tender mother, a reliable support for her family, a successful professional, and a talented creator. She manages everything: building a career, raising children, maintaining a cozy home, and all the while remaining incredibly beautiful and feminine."
Young women from the International Federation of Women's Champions had the opportunity to learn firsthand how to build such a philosophy and find fulfillment in family and career life. The young women had many questions about starting a family, family relationships, balancing family and work, their spiritual development, and professional development. They were interested in motherhood, balancing childrearing and work, and how to overcome the challenges of family life.
The roundtable discussion was very warm and frank. The girls experienced new facets of their professors and faculty leadership, encompassing the full life of a woman, one that can rightfully be called successful.
Our distinguished guests also shared life hacks on the secrets of happy family relationships and preserving family values. The important and significant role of the state in supporting family and motherhood was also emphasized.
Real-life examples of female leaders, researchers, and scientists, all representatives of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, sparked keen interest among the young students. Most importantly, the girls realized the vital role of family and motherhood, and the desire to create their own happy family helps make their beloved country a better and happier place.
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering congratulates all women and girls on this holiday and sincerely wishes them spring warmth and happiness, love, smiles, and inspiration!
