Today, on March 2, representatives of the leadership of the Belarusian National Technical University visited the Inter-branch Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of BNTU (MIPK and PC BNTU), where students master the specialty "plasterer-facing 3rd class". The students will be able to apply the acquired skills very soon, working in student groups and participating in the preparation of dormitories for the new academic season.
Addressing the students, Timur Matyushinets, Vice-rector for Ideological and Educational Work at BNTU, together with Rodion Fedorovich, Secretary for the NGO "BRSM" with the rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan at BNTU, spoke about the staffing needs of the university and the advantages of combining study with work at the university.
The guys were also concerned about future employment, the schedule of work in the student team and the practical application of the acquired skills. Since this is the first time such an initiative is being implemented at BNTU, it is especially important for the organizers to receive feedback from the participants. It is an open conversation about first impressions, difficulties and wishes that will make the program as effective and comfortable as possible for students.
At the moment, students are undergoing theoretical training, where the masters of industrial training introduce them to the intricacies of the profession and regulatory requirements. The most important stage ahead is the practical course. Under the strict guidance of mentors, the children will not only have to work out their knowledge, but also show independence by performing real tasks. The end of the training will be marked by the receipt of state-issued certificates confirming the assignment of a working grade. After that, specialists will join the ranks of the construction student team and begin landscaping the dormitories and university grounds.
The responsible approach to the training of future specialists is evidenced not only by a well-thought-out program, but also by the high professionalism of the teaching staff. The students are taught by Oksana Kozunova, Associate Professor at MIPK and PC BNTU, who has extensive experience in supervision of construction sites. She shared her impressions of the start of the project and talked about the content of the training course:
– Not all the guys who are being trained are trained in the construction field, but despite this, they perceive all the material very well. All this is due to a well-designed program that involves building materials science, the basics of information modeling, and, most importantly, engineering and technology. In addition, teachers from colleges who have experience in industrial training were invited. Having supervised construction sites, I understand how to theoretically train specialists.
The students themselves shared their impressions of the training. So, Dmitry Garansky, a first-year student at the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarianism, told why he decided to master the working profession and what prospects it opens up:
– I really like studying to be a third-class plasterer. The program is structured clearly, the material is easily assimilated. The main advantage of getting a working specialty, in my opinion, is the opportunity for comprehensive development. Student groups open up many perspectives for us. For those who are in doubt, I would advise you to carefully study all the options offered by construction companies and evaluate the bonuses and preferences that you can get. In addition, a working profession is always useful in life, whether it's the renovation of your own apartment or the possibility of additional earnings.
Matvey Brazhitsky, a student at the Faculty of Energy, admitted that the main thing that attracted him to the project was the opportunity to combine the useful with the pleasant, get a profession and make new friends.
– It's not just learning a working profession, it's also a guarantee that even if you don't want to work in your specialty, you'll always find something to do. For example, plastering works. But the most important thing in the student group is friendship. We team up with the guys, get to know each other, and we have a common goal – to make our dorm better. When I found out about the working conditions and that we would work for the benefit of the dormitories, I immediately decided to participate. Plus, of course, getting a job is a great thing. I would like to thank the management of BNTU and the secretary of the BRSM Faculty of Energy Kristina Budnik for the opportunity to become a part of this project. For guys who are in doubt, I advise you to take a chance and try something new, to learn a working specialty, because this is the key to your future. I also advise you to find new acquaintances in student groups, because this is your youth, said the young man.
In conclusion, Rodion Fedorovich addressed the project participants. He emphasized the uniqueness of the student movement.
– The main advantage of student groups, in my opinion, is the opportunity to find best friends, because this is not just a job for young people, but a huge family of Belarusian student groups. In general, it all depends on the students. Given the diverse development of student teams in many areas, service, pedagogical, environmental and industrial teams are more popular among young people, because they are more common among enterprises. My advice is not to doubt, but to go. After student groups, many people have friends for life and a lot of experience in life," said the secretary of the NGO "BRSM" with the rights of the RK BNTU.
Thus, a new educational project was launched on the basis of BNTU, which combined professional training, employment of students and solving practical problems of the university. Participation in it will allow students not only to acquire a sought-after work specialty and earn their first income, but also to become part of a large and friendly family of Belarusian student groups.
