Today, February 27, the results of the "BNTU Student Shift" forum, which brought together the most active and talented first-year students, were summarized. The five days proved to be extremely eventful: the newcomers got acquainted with the university's youth structures, learned from invited speakers, and developed their own projects.
Each day of the forum was themed, introducing the first-year students to a specific structure of the university. On the second day of the shift, February 24, Maxim Kulik, chairman of the BNTU primary student trade union, addressed the students. He spoke about the opportunities offered by the trade union and the projects being implemented. The students consolidated their knowledge with a thematic quiz and the intellectual and entertaining game "Field of Trade Union Miracles."
On Wednesday, March 25, the forum reached its culmination. This day was memorable for the participants, who enjoyed a master class given by the invited speaker, Stefania-Vitaliya Vinnichek, a correspondent for Channel One and deputy chair of the youth council of the Minsk City Council. She shared the secrets of public speaking and the art of stage performance with first-year students, noting:
"Small opportunities are often the beginning of great projects."
Also, on Student Council Day, Ksenia Lebedeva, a special correspondent for the Television News Agency, addressed the students. In her speech, the renowned journalist and TV presenter discussed the realities of modern news journalism.
Yesterday, March 26, the day was dedicated to the activities of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) with the rights of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU). The organization's secretary, Rodion Fedorovich, gave a presentation of the Youth Union, and Vyacheslav Sabansky, the second secretary of the Minsk city organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, addressed the students at the "Youth Conversation" dialogue platform. The day concluded with an intellectual and entertaining game, "Strength in Unity."
The fifth day marked the culmination of the forum. Today, teams of first-year students presented their projects, developed as part of the youth initiative competition, to the jury. The jury included:
Timur Matyushinetz, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work;
Irina Gud, Head of the Center for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs;
Yaroslav Bazhko, Deputy Chairman of the Student Council;
Maxim Kulik, Chairman of the BNTU Student Trade Union;
Rodion Fedorovich, Secretary of the Public Organization "BRSM" with the rights of the BNTU Regional Committee.
At the closing ceremony, all forum participants received certificates, and those who excelled were awarded diplomas in various categories:
"Best Media Work" — "Carrots" (orange team);
"Best Video Business Card" — "Mint Broadcasts" (mint team);
"Best Telegram Channel" — "Ducks" (yellow team).
Andrey Kurlyanchik, Diana Razueva, and Vladislav Zashchirinsky were named the best curators of the forum. Tikhon Sinitsky was recognized in the "Best Participant" category.
The "Blue Bloods" team received the main award for the best project created at the forum.
The five days of the forum flew by, leaving the first-year students with not only new knowledge and skills, but also true friendships. The organizers have already kicked off preparations for the new season: next year, the university will once again welcome participants of the "BNTU Student Shift 2027."
