As part of the training practice, first-year students of the specialty "Engineering Economics" (profiling "Innovative Projects at an Industrial Enterprise") of the Faculty of Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship of BNTU visited JSC "Minsk Watch Plant".
At the beginning of the excursion, students got acquainted with the working shops of the enterprise - from mechanical assembly and engraving to self-winding and microelectronics.
Then the students got acquainted with the history and modern potential of the plant: through the iconic models of the brands "Luch", "Zarya" and "Vympel" they traced its development, and a visit to the museum with rare exhibits allowed to see the complete evolution of watchmaking - from the models of "rope" and "crabs" popular in Soviet times to modern innovations.
A great impression was made by compact machines and airbrushes, clearly demonstrating the engineering thought and industrial potential of Belarusian watchmaking, as well as developments in a variety of fields - from mechanical calibers and quartz movements to laser engraving, titanium cases and sapphire glasses.
Thus, the excursion allowed students to see in practice how theoretical knowledge is embodied in real industrial solutions.
