Professions that will change the world: career guidance work among talented people at Secondary School No. 190

Профессии, которые изменят мир: профориентационная работа среди талантов в средней школе № 190

To attract prospective students to the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarian Studies, members of the Foreign Languages Department – Department Head Olga Veremeychik and instructors Anna Filimonova and Victoria Charochkina – held a career guidance event for senior high school students from Secondary School No. 190 on February 4, 2026. The event included a presentation about the department and a film about the Belarusian National Technical University.

The key points of the presentation included an overview of the structure of the department and faculty, the majors and specializations for which admission is available, admission requirements, and opportunities available at the department (practical training, internships, participation in research, etc.). These aspects were intended to help senior high school students better understand what the department has to offer and their prospects for education and career advancement after graduation.

During the discussion, the faculty focused on the growing popularity of the Chinese language in the current context, as well as the unique opportunities for studying it in the Department of Foreign Languages. Students learned that Chinese can be studied not only in programs such as logistics, economics, and management, but also in foreign language courses offered at BNTU.

Then, students were shown a film dedicated to BNTU's 105th anniversary. It showcased the university's rich history, its achievements, and its contribution to the development of science and technology in Belarus.

At the end of the meeting, the faculty happily answered students' questions and invited prospective students to BNTU's Open Day.
