A meeting was held at BNTU with representatives of the Inner Mongolia University of Technology

В БНТУ прошла встреча с представителями Технологического университета Внутренней Монголии

Today, December 30, representatives from the Inner Mongolia University of Technology visited the Belarusian National Technical University. The meeting was dedicated to the practical implementation of the roadmap points for developing cooperation between the universities.

For reference: The Inner Mongolia University of Technology, founded in 1951, is the oldest engineering university in China's national regions and maintains leading positions in the fields of mechanical engineering, chemical technology, and architecture. The university is known for its practice-oriented education, close ties with industry, and offers quality programs in English.

The delegation included academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Director of the International Joint Laboratory for the Study of Settlements in the Eurasian Steppe, and Aga Khan Architecture Award laureate, Professor Zhang Pengju; Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Wang Zhiqian; Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges Bai Nanding; Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges Si Qin; and Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges Li Chaoming.

On the Belarusian side, the discussion involved Deputy Rector for Academic Affairs Yuri Nikolaychik; Yuri Chanturia, Dean Faculty of Architecture; Natalia Shulyakovskaya, Vice-dean Faculty of Architecture; Alesya Yanush, Deputy Dean Faculty for Ideological and Educational Work of Architecture; and Hou Yabo, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Technology.

The parties discussed concrete steps to organize mutual academic student exchange. Mutual interest was noted in ensuring that future engineers and architects from the universities gain unique experience in intercultural and professional interaction by becoming familiar with each other's educational traditions and innovative developments. At the same time, an agreement was reached on the timing of a lecture series by the professor of architecture and urban planning from the Inner Mongolia University of Technology for BNTU students, which will be a valuable addition to the educational process.

In order to further strengthen the partnership and summarize the interim results of our joint work, an in-person working meeting of the delegations is planned for the beginning of next year in China. This visit will open new horizons for the scientific and educational dialogue of higher education institutions.
