On October 24, 1st-year students and ICF master's students went on a tour of the National Library of Belarus. For many of the students, this was their first visit to a library that not only houses millions of books but also serves as a symbol of national heritage.
The students learned about how the library was founded in 1922 and how it has transformed into a modern multifunctional complex that combines traditional and digital resources. During the tour, the students visited the reading rooms, electronic catalogs, the book museum, and the exhibition spaces. They were also informed about the rare books stored in the library's collections and the opportunities it offers for research and self-education.
Some of the students expressed their desire to obtain a library card and start using the library's resources to prepare for their classes and explore Belarusian culture.
