Today, July 21, the Belarusian National Technical University was visited by the rector of the Samara State Technical University (SamSTU) Dmitry Bykov. The visit was aimed at activating mutual cooperation and discussing future joint projects.

On behalf of BNTU, the meeting was attended by Rector Sergey Kharytonchyk, Deputy Rector for Academic Affairs Yuri Nikolaychik, Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation Pavel Shirvel, and Deputy Director of Research Polytechnic Institute of BNTU Viktor Kusyak.

Official negotiations between the management of the two universities took place in the main building. The parties discussed priority areas of cooperation in the educational, research and innovation spheres. Dmitry Bykov presented the implemented industrial technologies of his university, one of which is the production of aircraft chassis kits using new technology (using high-precision laser measurements).
– BNTU has many interesting competencies, and successful scientists work there. We could be useful to each other in development, since our two countries are friendly. We have a number of achieved successes in the development of technologies that exist not just in the laboratory, but also in factories, – Dmitry Bykov emphasized.

Sergey Kharitonchik, in turn, noted the importance of this visit and cooperation with SamSTU.
– I am very pleased that you have found the time to come to our university. These are not just words, but a real step in the development of our cooperation, which it is important for us to deepen. Our universities are very similar: within them, work is carried out not for the sake of abstract science, but for the sake of practical results. Today, the main thing is to give real implementations. Our key task is not only science and education, but also commercialization and implementation. Without this, a technical scientist is worthless. We are already working in this direction: we are developing the production of medical products, building new medical plants, actively working with machine builders, and introducing our own technologies. We are ready to deepen our cooperation with the real sector of the Russian economy. I want our specialists to come to you, show you our capabilities, and we will move on to concrete actions, – Sergey Kharitonchik addressed Dmitry Bykov.

After negotiations for the rector of SamSTU, BNTU employees conducted a tour of the industry research laboratory of plasma and laser technologies, the research center for optical materials and technologies and the industry research laboratory of innovative devices of MEMS technologies.
