Путь «Студент года БНТУ – 2024»: самый полный репортаж о событиях конкурса

On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the final of the “BNTU Student of the Year – 2024” competition was held on the main stage of the Belarusian National Technical University. A million emotions, 12 participants, 4 master classes from professionals, more than two weeks of preparation and only one winner – all this is about the most memorable evening of autumn.

Let's go back to the very beginning and recall that 12 students of the Polytechnic University really surprised the jury members at the casting:

  • Ksenia Korteleva (Faculty of Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship);
  • Alexandra Smal (Faculty of Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship);
  • Elizaveta Meshkova (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering);
  • Alexander Kuznetsov (Faculty of Instrument Engineering);
  • Valeria Shupilo (Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarization);
  • Daria Rimashevskaya (Faculty of Architecture);
  • Elizaveta Yanushko (Military Technical Faculty);
  • Ivan Korotkiy (Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarization);
  • Alexandra Bobrovich (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering);
  • Nikolay Rudakov (Faculty of Energy);
  • Elena Karpenko (Faculty of Energy Engineering);
  • Vladislav Rybachenko (Faculty of Civil Engineering).

The selection was not the only test for the finalists, because after it a busy period of preparation began.

Preparation

The preparation included rehearsals, photo shoots, master classes and training, during which the guys revealed their talents and got to know themselves and each other from a new perspective.

For example, students were able to enjoy the friendly atmosphere during the cohesion training. Thanks to simple and fun exercises, the finalists learned how to support each other and became a real team. A master class dedicated to the fashion show helped students gain their ability to attract glances with their gait. Thanks to the efforts of Angelina Khilkevich, the owner of the aesthetic development studio with a model bias Pudra, the guys pumped their confidence to 100%.

The students were able to test their level of intuition in the Mafia game. The combination of semi-darkness and the desire to defeat evil allowed the guys to show their hidden talents: acting and logic.

During the last but no less important test, the debate, the finalists participated in a discussion on the topic "Leadership is more effective than management." Divided into two teams, they actively confirmed or denied this statement. The guys charged each other with their enthusiasm, creating an atmosphere of a real intellectual battle.

Such intense preparation led to the fact that the final of the competition became a bright event full of emotions and exciting moments.

The final

The decisive evening was opened by a dance- performance, which from the first seconds broadcast the main idea of the competition - "Beyond its reality".

The dance performance was followed by the long-awaited appearance of the main characters of the event in elegant dresses and suits. The guys set the mood of the show and finally convinced the audience of their serious bid to win.

The noise of the applause of the support groups has not yet subsided, but the legendary BNTU presenters Alena Metlushko and Alexander Pasko have already appeared on the stage. According to tradition, they presented the jury, among which were:

  • Vice-rector for Ideological and Educational Work of BNTU Timur Matyushinets;
  • Roman Bondaruk, First Secretary of the city Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union;
  • Vladislav Korolyuk, Deputy Secretary of the primary organization of the NGO "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" with the rights of the RC BNTU;
  • Head of the Republican Youth Center Yulia Zinkevich;
  • choreographer, winner of the title "Student of the Year of Minsk – 2018", director of the republican and international competitions "Student of the Year", "Miss and Mr. Studentship", "Queen of Studentship" Igor Geldinsky;
  • the Belarusian singer, the winner of the Grand Prix of the international festival of arts "Slavyansky Bazaar in Vitebsk – 2022", the finalist of the projects "Voice" and "X- factor" Anna Trubetskaya.

After getting acquainted with the main experts of the competition, the finalists appeared on stage one by one, artistically presenting themselves. The guys spoke about their hobbies, achievements and dreams. Each performance was distinguished by originality, making the audience feel each story as their own life experience. During the speeches, the audience plunged into the magical atmosphere of Harry Potter, the positive story of the cartoon "Puzzle" and even touched the richness of Belarusian culture.

The most striking moments of the final were the creative performances of the participants. Wonderful vocals were demonstrated by Alexandra Smal, Elena Karpenko and Alexandra Bobrovich. The sincere notes of the girls reached every heart in the hall, causing the audience to burst into loud cheers and applause.

The power engineer-musician Nikolai Rudakov performed in an unusual role for himself. Instead of the expected folk motifs, the student staged a real rock concert on stage. The bass guitar only added charisma to his image and playing.

It was not only the guitarist who had the opportunity to shine on stage. The contrast to the event was brought by the exquisite saxophone part performed by Alexander Kuznetsov. A real gentleman and expert in his field presented the audience with a few minutes of virtuoso jazz.

The dance performing, in turn, added dynamics to the show. Vladislav Rybachenko, Ksenia Koroleva, Elizaveta Meshkova, Ivan Korotky, Valeria Shupila and Daria Rimashevskaya demonstrated the perfect tandem of rhythm and style.

The festive evening was continued by the invited artists, giving the audience incendiary performances. Anna Trubetskaya delighted the guests with professional vocals, and students of the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarization demonstrated synchronized choreography, winning the ovation of all those present. Arina Kolesova, Ekaterina Lobataya and Polina Pashkevich carried the energy through their performances.

The final fashion show of the contestants was a spectacular conclusion to all the performances. With fire in their eyes and stunning images, they again showed themselves in all their glory, and then excitedly were waiting for the results from the jury of the competition.

Results

When the most long-awaited moment – the announcement of the results came, the tension in the hall exceeded all indicators. First, the students were awarded certificates of finalists, and lavish gifts from partners became an additional reward for their hard work.

Vladislav Rybachenok won the” Audience Award” nomination, and Elena Karpenko won the laurels of the” ONLINE Student of the Year” nomination. Ksenia Korteleva became the holder of the title "Student of the Year of BNTU – 2024".

We congratulate Ksyusha on her well-deserved victory and wish her success in her creative life and in the upcoming city contest of the “Student of the Year”!
