Yesterday, 28 June, the Republican holiday of graduates of higher educational institutions "Sails of Dreams" took place in the capital. We tell you about the event and the impressions of the graduates of the Belarusian National Technical University.

This year the event was attended by about 3000 university graduates from all regions of the country. About 2,000 of the best of the best celebrated their graduation from Minsk, and almost 1,000 young people came from the regions.

The Belarusian National Technical University was represented at the event by more than 200 outstanding graduates who showed themselves during their studies in science, sport, culture and student life in general.
Aleksey Balysh, a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, secretary of the "BRSM" public union with the rights of the RK BNTU:
- Such an opportunity comes only once in a lifetime, and it is a great honor for every graduate to attend this celebration. The Republican Graduates' Holiday is a real fairy tale, in which we all became the main characters yesterday. It was great not only to spend the evening in the company of guys from my university, but also to meet friends and even classmates.
I would like to acknowledge the organisers for the excellent preparation of the event and the university for the opportunity to have a touch of this magic. The memories of this evening will remain for many years to come.

Rector Sergei Kharitonchik, Vice-Rector for Educational Work Timur Matyushinets, as well as employees of the Centre for Ideological and Educational Work, deans and their deputies accompanied the students.
- We are proud of our graduates and wish them success in their future careers. Today they are celebrating graduation, and soon they will start their working life, where they will be able to apply the knowledge gained during their studies and remember their student years with warmth," said Sergey Vasilyevich.

During the celebration, the emphasis was given to the achievements of the Belarusian youth and the country as a whole. The Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets said this in his address and also gave a message to the graduates.
- I would like to wish you: do not rest on your laurels, go forward, work on yourselves, and you will succeed. You are the heirs of the generation of winners. Proudly carry this title, honour history and preserve our country.
Dear graduates, remember the past, look with confidence into the future and go well. Happy holiday!

The holiday continued with a concert programme featuring Belarusian artists, including BNTU graduate Nikita Adamchuk.

Then the participants of the ball gathered on the Svisloch embankment to see a bright and truly unforgettable show prepared by the organizers. The graduates waited with bated breath for the climax of the Republican Graduates' Day - the parade of scarlet sails and festive fireworks.

Ksenia Polovinko, a graduate of the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarianisation, journalist of the BNTU Media Centre:
- I would like to thank you sincerely for the opportunity to take part in this incredible celebration. This is a milestone event for the best graduates of Belarus, and I am glad that I was able to be a part of it.
The organization of the event was top-notch and every moment was carefully thought out. Various activities, performances by artists and socializing with other graduates made the evening unforgettable.
At the moment of the parade of scarlet sails, you realize that even if one story ends, it is followed by another, equally beautiful one, and the same thing is waiting for us - a new life stage full of incredible events. This holiday is a real miracle, touched by more than 3,000 young people from all over the country. I am sure that each of them will carry these memories through the years. Thanks to the university for the trust and the opportunity to experience these emotions, thanks to the organizers and thanks to the graduates.

The parade and fireworks did not end the surprises from the organizers: when the graduates returned to the festive stage, the hosts introduced the headliner of the ball - singer Klava Koka. To the singer's rousing hits, the kids sang, danced and simply enjoyed the celebration without sparing their feet and vocal cords.

Valeria Aferenok, a graduate of the Faculty of Marketing, Management and Entrepreneurship, finalist of the contest "Student of the Year BNTU - 2022":
- The event left a lot of positive emotions. It was a great opportunity to communicate with my acquaintances and friends from different universities, to feel the moment and enjoy the day.
Surely, we were very pleased with the surprise from the organisers - the performance of Klava Koka. Almost everyone has heard her songs at least once, and the guys next to us were singing along to each of them. Incredible drive and impressions both from her performance and from the event as a whole. Such vivid emotions will remain in the memory for a long time.

Each of the graduates has a new life stage ahead, but young people are confident that they will be able to cope with any obstacles and benefit the country, because there is still so much time and opportunities ahead. We wish them success!
