Today, on May 15, negotiations were held between representatives of the Belarusian National Technical University and the University of Geological Sciences (UGN; Republic of Uzbekistan).

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of BNTU Yuri Alexandrovich Nikolaychik, along with other representatives of the university, met with Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the UGS Leila Polatovna Sharafutdinova in order to coordinate university curricula for the first year of study, discuss future admission plans, as well as other issues of cooperation.


Pavel Ivanovich Shirvel, Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation at BNTU, familiarized the audience with the procedure for admitting citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan to various forms of study at BNTU, after which the parties went on discussing the implementation of various educational projects for Belarusian and Uzbek students. The agenda of the meeting also included issues of international student exchange, as well as the creation of new master's degree programs.


The two sides plan fruitful work and close cooperation in order to expand opportunities for students of both universities.
