February 17 to 23, 2024 are on a visit to the Republic of Zimbabwe to participate in the first meeting of the Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Zimbabwe. One of the participants of the delegation is the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of BSTU Y. A. Nikolaychik.
On Monday, February 19, Y.A. Nikolaychik met with the heads of the recruitment company "Glamourama Department" PBC (Harare, Zimbabwe), a partner of the Belarusian National Technical University in the Zimbabwean market. During the meeting, the parties noted the positive results of cooperation, identified prospects, and discussed problematic issues.
For reference: the cooperation agreement with the recruitment company "Glamourama Department" was signed following a visit to Zimbabwe by representatives of the BNTU leadership as part of the delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus in January 2023. In early October 2023, Deputy Director of the Glamourama Department, Maurin Meda, visited Belarus and brought the first Zimbabwean applicants to study at BNTU.
The program of the visit also provides for business negotiations on promising areas of cooperation in the field of education and research with the leadership of the Midlands State University, Harare Institute of Technology.
The visit will undoubtedly contribute to increasing the recognition of BNTU in the territory of the Republic of Zimbabwe, establishing and expanding effective mutually beneficial contacts with leading institutions of higher education and scientific organizations in this country.
