In the tenth anniversary article, we introduce the student of the Faculty of Power Engineering, Peter Lipsky.
So, the young man submitted documents to the Belarusian National Technical University with a feeling of amazement and a little excitement.
– When I came to enroll, I visited the territory and buildings of the BNTU for the first time. I was very impressed by the scale of the university: a large and beautiful territory, many buildings, and a large number of people. It all seemed amazing to me. The thought immediately popped into my head: "Can I study here?" I have been interested in energy for a long time, so I chose the specialty «electric power engineering and electrical engineering. Relay protection and automation».
– How were the first months of study?
– I can say that initially it was not easy to get used to the fact that you need to simultaneously assimilate a lot of information about the schedule of classes, finding the right building and classroom, your classmates. However, at the same time, it was interesting to gradually taste life at the university.
Peter's duties as the monitor of the group helped him to get into the routine of a real student. According to the freshman, a successful headman is a responsive, responsible person who is not afraid of criticism. That's exactly what the guy tries to be for his classmates.

Now Peter is actively participating in events organized by the BNTU Department of Cultural Affairs as a presenter. At school, by the way, he often held festive concerts and guided tours of the museum.
Having entered the university, the young man decided to register for the casting for the Debut school of presenters.
– I went to the casting with one thought: "No matter what the result will be, I want to try." The selection was fascinating. Those wishing to demonstrate their abilities were given the words of the presenters, and it was necessary to choose the right timbre, speed of reading, and emotions. Of course, in such cases, diction is given great importance. At the casting, I tried to reveal and show my best side. I succeeded, and I became a part of the «Debut».
As a presenter at BNTU, Peter made his debut at the festive concert «Family warmed by love». The first performance brought a lot of joy to the young man.
– Do you have any interesting stories related to the experience of hosting events?
– A lot of funny situations happen at the moment of improvisation. It happens that you already have to go on stage, and I just write the names of the winners. Everyone is talking: "Faster, faster," and already on stage, while your partner is saying something, I'm trying to decipher what I wrote. Here you need to show self-confidence and not worry, otherwise you can make a lot of mistakes.

In his spare time, Peter is interested in technology. He is happy to disassemble, repair, assemble locks, motorcycles and even cars. The young man does not leave sports aside either. In the future, the student expects to work in his specialty and have a successful career, but the guy is not going to forget about his hobbies and talents.
We thank Peter for the interview and wish him brilliant academic and creative achievements.
